RC Group and the Global Compact
RC Group is proud to be a signatory of the Global Compact, also known as the UN Global Compact. Through this commitment RC Group marks a new step in the group's CSR approach. The commitment we are making reflects RC Group's desire to participate in the socially responsible process that the company has been undertaking for several years.
At RC Group, we believe that the quality of life at work, respect for the environment, and a commitment to openness and transparency are crucial commitments for sustainable and quality management.
This initiative is based on 10 principles:
Human rights
Businesses should support and respect the protection of internationally proclaimed human rights;
Not to be complicit in human rights abuses.
International Labor Standards
Businesses should respect freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining;
To contribute to the elimination of all forms of forced or compulsory labor;
To contribute to the effective abolition of child labor;
To contribute to the elimination of all discrimination in respect of employment and occupation.
Environment
Businesses are encouraged to apply the precautionary approach to environmental challenges;
Take initiatives to promote greater environmental responsibility;
Encourage the development and diffusion of environmentally friendly technologies.
Fighting Corruption
Businesses should work against corruption in all its forms, including extortion and bribery
These 10 principles are inspired by fundamental and important texts such as the Declaration of Human Rights, the Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work of the International Labour Organization, the Rio Declaration on Environment and Development or the UN Convention against Corruption.
The Global Compact really contributes to the commitment of companies wishing to act in a sustainable way.
